PETG is briefly a transparent plastic, is an amorphous copolyester, PETG commonly used copolymer monomer is 1, 4-cyclohexanedimethanol (CHDM), the full name of polyethylene terephthalate -1, 4-cyclohexanedimethanol ester. It is the product of condensation polymerization of terephthalic acid (PTA) and ethylene glycol (EG), 1, 4-cyclohexanedimethanol (CHDM) three monomers, and PET more than 1, 4-cyclohexanedimethanol copolymer, and PCT more than ethylene glycol copolymer, therefore, the performance of PETG and PET, PCT is very different, with its unique. In the world, only Eastman in the United States and SK in South Korea have mature technology, and the main domestic agents for Eastman PETG and SK PETG in South Korea have Shanghai Lianmo Chemical Co., LTD. With the increase of CHDM in the copolymer, the melting point decreases, the glass transition temperature increases, the crystallinity decreases, and finally the amorphous polymer is formed. Generally, the content of CHDM in PETG is 30%-40%. It has good viscosity, transparency, color, chemical resistance, and stress whitening resistance.
